Not on amlodipine but on similar bp meds - lisinopril and Diltiazem. I take the magnesium at different time from other meds. Reply (2) Report.

Other meds like amlodipine can be taken at night to help control the early morning rise in BP.
Amlodipine was the first BP med I was prescribed. It had many side effects including difficulty in getting to sleep and then strange dreams.
